Eurythmy appeared in the world in 1912 and it was by an amazing way. First of all it appeared as the part of anthroposophic movement ant secondly, it was a kind of response to the request of a young girl from anthroposophic families , who after her father's death wanted to find a lesson in the spirit of the challenges facing the anthroposophical society of that time. This request was addressed to Rudolf Steiner by Larry Smith and she got recommendations from which first principles and forms of new art of movement – eurythmy – have been formed. So these recommendations have been done as the spiritual answer to concrete person in accordance to features and abilities of this person. Probably it is the only case in history when the new art has appeared as the form of manifestation of the spirit of real person. Initially eurythmy developed in small groups but gradually it became a form of performing art which now has its own school and traditions but continues to evolve, incorporating impulses of new eurythmists as the river takes streams and small rivers. Eurythmy appeared like a new kind of art but it was quite quickly integrated into other realms of anthroposophic movement: into Waldorf pedagogic, curative education and anthroposophic medicine. For example in Waldorf school eurythmy is a part of education and essential part of school life but also a mandatory part of teacher’s self-development. It is also a real healing force.
