PAINTING ON THE ALTAI

What does a child need to be taught so that he can manage his life when he grows up?

What do we teach our children?
That we are able and know ourselves. But will it be useful to them in their life: when they grow up the world will be different already?!
How do we teach our children?
In the same way as we were taught or principally in another one, because we felt bad when we were taught and raised? But our children are different and the teaching tools have changed.
Why do we educate our children?
In order that they can find a “good” place in the world and be pleasant and well-mannered people. But there are not enough “good” places for everyone and even if we did organize such a place for our child this does not mean that he will be fine there!
What should be the educator and teacher to be able really to educate and teach?
He must be very educated and self-sufficient (otherwise he will not be able to cope with modern children), and, at the same time, he must meet our personal expectations. But are there such people in the world?!
Let's try to answer these questions thinking first of all about our children.
We need to teach children to use the abilities they have in those conditions and in accordance with the opportunities that they will have in different years of their lives.
We need to educate children in such a way that this training matches their age development and individual abilities.
We need to cultivate in our children the ability to navigate the existing world and communicate with everyone who meets them in life and at the same time to have the courage to change this world and create their place in it.
We need to look not for a specific teacher but for a pedagogical direction that is focused on raising and educating a child in accordance with his own abilities and needs.
And Waldorf pedagogy can help us in this. The principles of this pedagogy we can apply in kindergarten, school and at home. We invite everyone who wants to learn about the possibilities of Waldorf pedagogy and the peculiarities of its use in various conditions to come to this lecture.
Lector will be held at 5.30 pm on March 16 in Children Center “Sun House” Truda street 1, Krasnodar
