Contemporary life gives a lot of possibilities to human being but in the same time it imposes very high demands on man which not everyone can meet. This leads not only to a constant increase in the number of mental illnesses but also creates an atmosphere of constant mental tension and internal disorder which inhibit creativity and often deprive of the joy of being human. In these conditions human soul needs a support in order to overcome actual problems and it also needs knowledge in order form an inner resistance to the difficulties of life and ability to be itself in a changing world.
The lecture is devoted to the purposes and characteristics of anthroposophic psychology, which distinguish it from other directions and to the possibilities of anthroposophic psychotherapy which aims not only to help human being but also to form the ability to self-development in different situations and at different stages of life.
